Paragliding is about as close as you can possibly get to the ultimate dream of free flight. The One Day Introduction to Paragliding Course is a fun day where you will really get a feel as to what this great sport is all about. You will be introduced to the equipment and the principles of paragliding and will have a go at all sorts of things such as ground control launching and take off! This is a great day and if you decide to continue with your training to become a qualified paraglider this counts as the first day of your EPC course. You can soar with the birds!Course Content:You will start your day by either meeting your instructor at the centre or at an agreed location which will be selected depending on conditions. You will have a safety briefing and be introduced to the equipment which includes the glider harness and helmet. You will then work on how to handle the glider when it is on the ground and how to control it when it is in the air. The fun really starts when you start learning to land and take-off and you will depending on conditions finish the day with some low level flights. This course will teach you the basics of paragliding and as well as being a fun day will provide an excellent grounding if you choose to continue with the sport.
